How the Signal Copier Works - Troubleshooting Guide
Understanding the Signal Flow
Your trades move through 3 steps:

Each step must work correctly for your trades to execute successfully. The diagram above shows where problems typically occur.
The Two Main Problem Areas
⚠️ Problem Area #1: MetaAPI/Broker Layer (Most Common)
What happens: The copier sends your trade, but your broker doesn't respond.
How to identify this problem:
- Go to the Analytics tab
- Look at the Signals section
- Check the status indicator

If you see "Pending" (orange) = Problem!
- This means the trade was sent but your broker did not confirm or reject it
- The trade is stuck in limbo
Common causes:
- ❌ Missing broker suffix in your symbol settings
- ❌ Wrong symbol format for your broker
- ❌ Broker server maintenance
How to fix:

✅ Check your broker suffix
- Example: If your broker uses
.m, your symbol should beXAUUSD.mnot justXAUUSD - Ask your broker what suffix they use
- Add the suffix in Trade Settings
✅ Verify symbol names match your broker
- Check your MetaTrader platform
- Make sure the symbol names are exactly the same. Our most commonly traded symbol is XAUUSD, and that's the format the copier puts out. If your broker uses 'Gold' you will need to map this in your copier. XAUUSD --> Gold.
✅ Check broker connection
- Is your MetaAPI account connected?
- Try logging out and back in to refresh the connection
⚠️ Problem Area #2: Telegram API Connection
Issue 2A: 2FA Code Not Arriving
What you'll see:
- You try to log in
- The 2FA code doesn't arrive
- You're stuck waiting
What's happening:
- Telegram has flagged your account (not our system!)
- This is a Telegram security measure
- You may be temporarily soft-banned
How long does this last?
- Minimum: 30 minutes
- Maximum: 24 hours
How to fix:
✅ Set up 2-Step Verification (2SA) in Telegram:
- Open Telegram app
- Go to Settings → Privacy and Security
- Enable Two-Step Verification
- Create a password
- This tells Telegram your account is more secure
- Try logging in to the copier again after 1 hour
✅ Be patient:
- Wait 30-60 minutes before trying again
- Don't spam login attempts (this makes it worse!)
Issue 2B: Session Gets Invalidated
What causes this:
- Logging in multiple times per day
- Constantly checking the copier
- Logging in from different devices (phone, computer, tablet)
- Telegram sees this as suspicious activity
How to check if your session is active:

- Go to the Channels tab
- Look at the top: Session Active (green) = Good ✓
- Click Check Status button (top right)
- If session is dead, you'll need to log in again
How to fix:
✅ Avoid frequent logins:
- Don't log in more than 2-3 times per day
- Once you're connected, leave it alone
- The system works automatically - trust it!
✅ Use one device primarily:
- Pick your main device for checking the copier
- Limit logins from other devices
✅ Re-login properly:
- Click the logout button (don't just close browser)
- Wait 2 minutes
- Log back in fresh
- This creates a clean new session
Special Note: Broker Disconnections
When does this happen?
- After Frankfurt market close (around 5 PM GMT)
- During early Asia session (before 2 AM GMT)
- Weekend maintenance periods
Why does this happen?
- Brokers take servers offline for maintenance
- They move accounts between servers for load balancing
- This is normal broker behavior (not a copier problem)
What to do:
✅ Be patient:
- Wait 30-60 minutes
- Connection usually restores automatically
✅ Contact your broker:
- Ask if they have a backup server
- Some brokers offer alternative server addresses
- Add the backup server to your MetaAPI settings
✅ Check broker announcements:
- Most brokers announce maintenance windows
- Plan around these times if possible

- No → Continue to next check

- No → Click "Check Status" → May need to re-login
✓ Check #3: Did you receive the 2FA code quickly?
- Yes → Telegram connection is good
- No → Set up 2-Step Verification in Telegram → Wait 1 hour
✓ Check #4: Is it during broker maintenance hours?
- Yes → Wait 30-60 minutes → Check broker announcements
- No → Contact support with screenshots
