# What if You Run a Backtest and Get no Results?

If you try backtesting in MetaTrader 5 and it doesn't show any results, it might be because of issues with how MT5 handles data.

First, make sure you've imported your data correctly and set up your custom symbols.

Then, check if your backtest timeframe and chart timeframe match the kind of data you got from TickStory. The default setting from TickStory is typically in 1-minute chunks. This helps to fix any problems and get your test results.
