# How to Ensure Broker Server and MetaAPI Region Match

# Choose the Right Broker Server for Seamless Trading
## Why Your Broker Server Region Matters
To ensure your trading signals execute flawlessly, you need to connect your MetaTrader account to a broker server in the **right region**.
**Our system works optimally with servers located in:**
* 🇺🇸 **New York** (Americas)
* 🇬🇧 **London** (Europe/Asia/Africa)
**Wrong server region = Connection issues, failed trades, and frustration** ❌
## Step 1: Choose Your Region
**Where are you located?**
### 🌎 **Americas** (US, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, etc.)
→ **Use New York servers**
### 🌍 **Europe/Asia/Africa** (UK, Germany, India, Australia, etc.)
→ **Use London servers**
## Step 2: Create Demo Account on Correct Server
**Most connection issues are solved by simply creating a new demo account on the right server.** This takes 2 minutes and requires no technical knowledge.

#### **XM Global**
**🇺🇸 Americas → Use these servers:**
* `XMGlobal-Real 1`
* `XMGlobal-Real 2`
**🇬🇧 Europe/Asia/Africa → Use these servers:**
* `XMGlobal-Real 17`
* `XMGlobal-Real 18`
#### **Other Brokers**
* **Pepperstone**: `Pepperstone-Live` (NY) or `PepperstoneLtd-Live01` (London)
* **FTMO**: `FTMO-Server1-Live` (NY)
## Step 3: How to Create New Demo Account
### **Option A: Through Broker Website (Recommended)**
**IC Markets Example:**
1. Go to broker's demo signup page
2. **Important**: During signup, look for "Server" selection
3. **Choose the server** from our recommendations above
4. Complete signup and get your new login credentials
5. Use these new credentials in our app
### **Option B: Through MetaTrader Platform**
1. **Open MetaTrader 4 or 5**
2. **Click "File" → "Open an Account"**
3. **Search for your broker name**
4. **Select "Open a demo account"**
5. **Important**: Choose the recommended server from our list
6. **Complete the form** and get your credentials

**In MetaTrader:**

**Avoid server names with:** ❌ `Tokyo`, `Sydney`, `Asia`, `Singapore`, `JP`, `AU`
