# 1. What is EdgeLab?

EdgeLab is an AI-powered strategy research and trading tool built into your TelegramFX Copier subscription. It lets you research forex market patterns, build trading strategies through plain-English conversation, backtest them against years of historical data, and deploy them live to your broker — all without writing a single line of code.
### What EdgeLab is not
EdgeLab is not a signal service, and it does not make trading decisions for you. It is a research tool. The AI surfaces patterns, runs backtests, and explains results — but you decide whether a strategy is worth deploying. No live trade is ever placed without your explicit confirmation.
### What EdgeLab can do
* Analyze session patterns, volatility regimes, and market structure across major forex pairs and gold
* Build a full trading strategy from a plain-English description
* Backtest that strategy against up to 36 months of historical price data
* Run parameter sweeps to test whether a strategy is robust or overfitted
* Show you an equity curve, win rate, expectancy, Sharpe ratio, and maximum drawdown
* Validate results using out-of-sample (OOS) testing to catch curve-fitting before you deploy
* Save strategies to your personal library for future reference
* Deploy a strategy to your broker via MetaAPI with configurable position sizing
### Who has access?
EdgeLab is currently in beta and is available free of charge to all active TelegramFX Copier subscribers. Access is gated by your subscription status — if you have an active TGFX plan, you can log in and start using EdgeLab immediately.
